RIP Mr Bowie. #Repost @molotowheadquarters ・・・ Today David Bowie died peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. He just celebrated his 69th birthday a few days ago, surprising everyone with a great new album. Here is a mural of one of Brixton’s most famous sons, David Bowie was, appearing on his 66th birthday on the side of the Morley’s department store in central Brixton. The artwork is based on the iconic cover for Bowie’s 1973 album, Aladdin Sane, which was one of six Bowie entries in Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time (at #277).
